Dr. Jasmine Chung, is an infectious diseases specialist. Her subspecialty interest is in transplant infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and clinical mycology. She was awarded a fellowship in Transplant Infectious Diseases at Duke University Medical Centre in 2016.
As a member of the transplant infectious diseases group at SingHealth Duke Transplant Centre, she has advised on the donor/recipient evaluation in the solid organ transplant / bone marrow transplant / cell therapy units, and is infectious diseases lead at SingHealth Transplant Tissue Centre.
As director of the antimicrobial stewardship unit, she works closely with the translational scientists, to bring novel diagnostic platforms (antibiotic combination testing) and therapeutics (e.g. phage therapy) from bench to bedside. She is instrumental in establishing the compassionate phage therapeutic service at Singapore General Hospital, to expand the therapeutic armamentarium for patients with refractory resistant infections.
