Thi Anh Thu Le Vietnam

Assoc. Prof. Lê Thị Anh Thư, MD, PhD is the President of the Vietnam Infection Control Society (VNICS) and the Ho Chi Minh City Infection Control Society (HICS). She also serves as an infection control consultant and expert to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, and is a lecturer in the Department of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. She is also the Head of Hoan My Academy, an institute dedicated to medical education and research. She worked as an infectious diseases specialist for 10 years and has more than 30 years of experience as a hospital epidemiologist and infection control consultant. She is a member of the National Writing Committee responsible for developing infection control guidelines and policies for the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. Assoc. Prof. Thu has served as principal investigator for many important research projects funded by the Vietnamese Government and the World Health Organization (WHO). Her research focuses on prevention and control of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), antimicrobial stewardship, centralized sterilization (CSSD), risk management, and patient safety. She is the author of more than 65 international publications and books and has delivered presentations at over 50 international scientific conferences.
