Associate Professor Dr Petrick Periyasamy* is a consultant and head of the Infectious Diseases Unit at the Hospital Canselor Tuanku Mukhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is life member of the Malaysian Society of Infectious Diseases and Chemotherapy (MSIDC) and Malaysian Society of HIV Medicine. He is an advocate for antimicrobial stewardship and has been proactively involved in teaching and studies related to the field
