Andrew Stewardson Australia

Andrew is an Infectious Diseases Physician and clinician-researcher, with joint appointment at Monash University and Bayside Health (Alfred Care Group) as Associate Professor (Research) and Director, Infection Prevention and Healthcare Epidemiology. His research focuses on the health-economic impact, transmission, and control of healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial resistance. He is former chair of the Healthcare Infection Control Special Interest Group of the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases and former Editor-in-Chief of Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control.
