Dato’ Dr Ker Hong Bee is a Consultant Infectious Disease Physician and Head of Department of Internal Medicine at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Perak. She serves as the State Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator for Perak and Clinical Lead for the hospital’s Antimicrobial Stewardship programme. She received her medical degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia, obtained MRCP (UK), and completed subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, followed by a fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. Dato’ Dr Ker has led and participated in multiple national and international clinical trials and contributed to national clinical practice guidelines in infectious diseases, HIV, and tuberculosis. She is actively involved in national policy and education initiatives related to infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship.
