Associate Professor Kalisvar Marimuthu is the Clinical Director of the Department of Infection Prevention and Control at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), and a Senior Consultant in Infectious Diseases. He is Chair of the National Infection Prevention and Control Committee (NIPC). He also serves as a Senior Consultant in IPC with Singapore's Ministry of Health and the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA). He co-chairs the World Health Organization (WHO) Guideline Development Group on Infection Prevention and Control for Respiratory Pathogens of Pandemic Potential. His primary research interests include the transmission dynamics of emerging infectious diseases and multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), as well as de-implementation and sustainability in infection prevention and control.
